Tixel

The Tixel device is an advanced skin rejuvenation and resurfacing technology that uses thermo-mechanical energy to improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and enhance collagen production. It is a non-invasive or minimally invasive alternative to traditional laser treatments, offering shorter downtime and less discomfort while still delivering noticeable skin improvements.

What Tixel Can Do:

Skin Rejuvenation: Stimulates collagen and elastin production to improve skin elasticity, tone, and texture.

Wrinkle Reduction: Helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, particularly on the face, neck, and décolletage.

Scar Treatment: Effective in treating acne scars, surgical scars, and other skin irregularities.

Pigmentation & Sun Damage: Helps lighten hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and melasma.

Non-Invasive or Fractional Treatments: Can be used for gentle, no-downtime treatments or deeper fractional resurfacing with mild downtime.

Enhances Product Absorption: Creates microchannels in the skin, improving the penetration of serums and skincare products.

How Tixel Works:

1. Heated Titanium Tip: The device has a small titanium plate with a matrix of tiny pyramid-shaped pins. This tip is heated to around 400°C but does not pierce or burn the skin like lasers or microneedles.

2. Controlled Skin Contact: The heated tip briefly touches the skin (for milliseconds), transferring thermal energy to the upper layers of the skin (epidermis and dermis). This process creates micro-channels or thermal zones in the skin without causing carbonization or smoke.

3. Collagen Stimulation: The heat stimulates the skin’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production. Over time, this leads to firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.

4. Adjustable Settings: Tixel can be used in different modes:

  • Ablative (stronger): For deeper resurfacing, similar to CO₂ lasers, with more downtime.
  • Non-ablative (gentler): For skin rejuvenation with little to no downtime.
  • Open channel mode: Creates micro-openings to enhance absorption of topical serums or medications (e.g. for treating melasma or pigmentation).

What to Expect:

Minimal Downtime: Redness and mild swelling for a few days, depending on treatment intensity.

Comfortable Procedure: Less pain compared to traditional laser treatments. Topical numbing cream may be used, however this is not recommended as it may reduce benefits of treatment.

Quick Sessions: Each treatment area typically take 15 minutes.

Gradual & Long-Lasting Results: Skin improves over weeks to months as collagen regenerates.

Multiple Sessions May Be Needed: Best results are seen after a series of treatments, usually 4-6 treatments, with an interval of 4+ weeks between treatments.

Safe for All Skin Types: Suitable for different skin tones with a lower risk of hyperpigmentation than some laser treatments.
